There are some days you wonder how it is that some major disaster was averted. Eventually, one surmises that it was nothing short of divine intervention, really. Perhaps it's to do with the bane of many a city dweller's life here in the blistering tropical island. In a city where the car has taken a somewhat demigod like status...it's a hassle to get into an "incident" that requires one to visit the workshop. A definite no-no. Having said that, it really pays sometimes, to go around in a beat up Toyota. You don't attract undue attention from a rare breed of "scratchers". Parking doesn't become a neurotic experience, and no fear of visiting those car wash facilities...the car, is being put in its place, as UTILITY. That's putting things in perspective I reckon.
