Down Tempo, Not Quite
It's past 1 am on a Monday morning...and I've come to realise that the weekend was over before me knowing it had started...so much for down tempo modus, it was anything but. Reckon the next week will be about the same. It's going to take a while to get used to this pace.

Weekend: Down Tempo
Starting off the weekend with a trip to the barber, and then coffee at me' former school (a little but of nostalgia) with Dr. Penguin. We both got a gruelling week ahead, so thought it'd be good to take the down tempo path for the weekend, just sit, sip and chill (with some plastic model building thrown in...)
Dinner was an austerity drive (not a bad thing) topped off with some gelato type cold dessert. A little icing on the cake. It's photo shoot duty tomorrow...time to do a gear check then hit the sack.

Event: Sonixblue Fish
Today marked the last working day of one true example of a friend, colleague and brother. The office will be a lesser place without him with us. Through the countless hours of fellowship, fun and games in Europe, and back home here in the tropics, we the crew will miss him dearly. But that he has decided to go forth and head out there to pursue his dream, will provide us with some consolation that is enough to alleviate the temporary sense of loss of a very dear team member.
In any case, we wish you all the best in your future endeavours bro. We'll miss you dearly in the office, but hey, you're not too far from us to meet up for a couple of drinks eh :) Here's to all the good times back then, and more to come in the future.

Road Trip
About 20 km across the border, highway roads and then, off into the the dirt tracks. A relatively huge harvest of the coveted King of Fruits, consumed against the distinct smells of a poultry farm - it's a pretty welcome departure from the trappings of the usual city life on a weekend. Top that off with some freshly prepared local cuisine, and I'd say the weekend got off to a good start.

Busy
That's +K-Mini working up a storm with IKEA stools...he's got engineering in his blood...
Way before "so-many" megapixels, the "ancients" had their analogous forms of pictorial representation of things around them...
...and modelling subjects of two rather different periods in history close to half a century apart.

Scent, Delicate.
A few days back, the air was simply heavy with humidity, and that translates to a VERY uncomfortable time in this part of the tropics. And whilst Mondays are known for the blues they bring, this morning's torrential rains did bring about the sweet, delicate scents of the morning chill. With that comes a different perspective on things around you that appear normally...quite ordinary.
Post WM2006
And so it is finally over. The WM2006. Zizou "headed" his way out of the last few minutes of extra time, Italy went on to hammer in the penalties to bring home that coveted Golden Cup, and I practically dozed off before half time...and dragged myself to the office to take my first cup of real coffee in 3 weeks...what a start to the new week.
